Update 12/12/2009

I updated the calendar with the most likely date of the annual awards banquet, Saturday, January 16th.

The official 2010 OMRSCCA Regional Solo2 calendar is not finished, but our outgoing 2009 board went ahead and established some early dates so that you can plan your weekends.

Provided Ducks Stadium in Ozark is in good repair, we are looking to have the first autocross of the season there on Sunday, March 21. We will have the Evolution Driving School the following weekend at Crowder in Neosho.

The Divisional at Neosho on April 24 & 25 will be a big two-day autocross, and will be held in place of our regular monthly regional event. We're starting off the year with a bang. 8)

Sundays May 16 and June 13 are also tentatively set for regional Solo2 events. Locations to be determined, details to be set by the 2010 board meetings.

Update 1/6/2010

I posted a link to the OMR Awards Banquet details

Due to a scheduling conflict with Ducks Stadium on March 21, we are looking to kick off the autocross season at Crowder in Neosho. Same date, different location that originally brainstormed.

The May 16 regional Solo2 event is set for Ducks in Ozark, and June is tentatively scheduled for Ducks, as well.

The Midwest Divisional Championships at Lincoln have been moved to August 7th and 8th.

Whoops, false alarm. Donna says they stay 8/28-29 after all. ;)

Update 2/3/2010

Thanks for getting that updated, Matt. Everyone, check out the calendar feature added to the front page. We found and established many new dates for the second half of the year:

Midwest Divsional Series event added
July 24-25 - Kansas City - we now have all four divisionals on the calendar!

OMRSCCA Regional Solo2 events added
- July 18
- August 8
- September 12
- October 10

We will be exploring the possibility of a November autocross, maybe at Pitt State again? Sites for the July and later autocrosses have not yet been established. Stay tuned.

OMRSCCA RoadRally
- Looking at October 30 for the Halloween Rally
- Exploring possible Spring road rally?

Update 3/3/2010

Unless we find out or arrange otherwise, our currently scheduled regional autocross dates will be held at Crowder in Neosho. We confirmed all future Crowder dates with Jared at the Crowder Trucking School, and he has been extremely cooperative.

We want to serve the population in the Springfield area with "backyard" events, but our best knowledge takes Ducks Stadium in Ozark out of the picture for the near term. Given the high quality of Crowder and relatively easy drive to the site for our membership all over MO/AR/KS, we're going to have an awesome season no matter what.

Look for an additional autocross date to make up for the snowed-out March event that we couldn't immediately reschedule.

Are we going pursue Ducks, maybe Pittsburg again, and other site possibilities? Yep. RoadRally and maybe even a RallyCross, too? Absolutely. This will be an awesome year, and everyone is welcome to participate with ideas and organization.

how about the ozarks fairgrounds for an alternative to the ducks stadium? not sure if that's been brought up before.

Unfortunately, site fees, pavement condition, and other hurdles have kept us from using the Fairgrounds.

Curtis and Longpine have been doing a lot of homework and talks over the last few months on various locations in Springfield, including the airport, a large trucking outfit, and others. Nothing has come to fruition yet, but gears are turning behind the scenes.

We have an awesome site in Neosho that is a short drive to everyone in OMR, but we know the having some opportunities in the Springfield area motivates some people who stick closer to home.

I added the following events to the calendar:

10/24 - Solo at Pitt State
Will be a points event to make up for the snow-out in March. Registration goes online following the Solo event on 10/10.

10/30 - Halloween Rally
Thanks to the Huffmans for coordinating this year's event. Anticipated start in Nixa, MO. Details to come.

11/7 - RallyCross in Clever, MO
We are working towards holding a Rallycross event near Clever, MO. Watch for details as they become available.
