This topic is all speculation of course! But this is the biggest topic among ALL area racers. Circle Track guys, local guys that have race ready road course cars, and even new guys looking to get into the sport. The only guys I know that are tight lipped about it are local track promoters. This is a...

Aaron, thank you. Dead on with what I'm saying. 8) Guys, sit back, think about it. You don't have to be John Q. Hammons, or any billionaire to do this. All you have to do is take the information presented, consider the money, numbers in millions, and then apply logical thought. Hell, any bum on C-st...

Curtis, Got the pm. I'll get ya pm'd back. Good to hear from a racer that's been there, done that! In this economy, I don't believe it will work. Here's why: at Hallet and other established tracks, there is history (the owners, developers are racing legends) and old money (big companies are getting ...

Sometimes you have to crawl before you walk. $15 mil plus in a track, c'mon. I'll believe it when I see it. The more I read about it, the more it looks bogus. They haven't even closed on the land! If you have CASH it doesn't take 30 days to close. If this gets done, you alienate the locals, you don'...

A ton of money for pie-in-the-sky dreams. And for what it's worth. Local dirt tracks do require mufflers. I hope he makes it real and be realistic about it. He doesn't sound like a sound businessman in the motorsports marketing aspect. If you dump money into it, the euros will not come. Locals are y...

Damn sounds like someone lives in Buffalo. :P  Yep, I do, and I want this to go through! There's still too many things up in the air. The Country Club aspect looks sexy in Motor Trend, but adds millions of dollars to the build of the facility. All of the Saturday night local racers that I've ...

The only downside is that the ALMS, F1 races, etc that you see on speed, the TRACK pays for the series to be there. Want to know why there isn't a F1 GP in the states? The FIA wants $20mil up front before the course is laid out. I'm sure there's enough wine and chesse a-holes to pipe money into this...

Not to knock the SCCA, but if this thing goes down, it needs a weekly series with it's own track rules. They want the ALMS SCCA NASA etc to run there, but they need the locals to keep the lights on. No one sanctioning body (except for the track itself) should be thinking about digging the claws in. ...

Forrest Lucas of Lucas Oil "fame" could have done this already. He didn't listen and now he's banging his head over that outdoor bar that has racing as a sideshow in wheatland! We'll see what kind of promoter Jerry Douglas is. He could have a weekly show. 2-3 lap events per class and bring in the fa...
