The lincoln "spring nationals" was last weekend, and included both a pro solo and a national tour. because it's on the same pavement as the nationals, this memorial day event always has an excellent turnout of past national champs and contenders. ...and in the contender category, our own Mark Foley ...

we can't run the event without at least 10 people. if you plan to participate sunday please pre-register. we'll be missing a couple of our regulars, it seems, so we may be short to run the event.

second Matt's very-well-explained points, and recommendation. would add you should also work to minimize total vehicle mass. all else equal a lighter car will generally be faster, less accel/decel inertia, fore, aft, but way more important lateral. true even if you have big fat sticky tires. braking...

i want to come too. tho i expect to be embarrassed either way. lot of work wasted if too little, lot of power wasted if too much. really tough to use much more than 6:1 power/weight effectively.

shane let me add my belated welcome. just a thought, you might want to drive the wife's car instead, if you can't stand losing to her. my 00 996 c4 is geared too low in first, too high in second, and corresponding to the too high, doesn't have a lot of grunt til 4000 rpm or so. also quite pushy, you...
