Assuming the body panels are stock and therefore acceptable in Street Prepared, then you're bumped to DSP due to the 8" wide wheels. Unfortunately 7.5" is max wheel width in STC.

Thanks for the feedback, Craig. It was pretty cool to witness your continued improvement throughout the course of the day. Good job.

60 people preregistered. I figure probably 70-90 at the event. This is going to be a big season opening Solo for us. While OMR tends to run orderly, efficient events, my suggestion is to try to get there a little early as we may have some bugs to shake off and this is a few more people than typical ...

See you tonight at the board meeting.

Definitely come out for the March event rather than waiting until May for the novice school (although I recommend attending that, too). There's tons of info on the web about what to expect at your first Solo event. I'll put emphasis on bringing a good attitude and desire to learn, a tire pressure ga...

As written, the class overdog ought to be a modern Z06. That's not really the point, though. I think the class is more about giving the Pro Touring muscle car guys their own sandbox to play in, which is not a bad idea and reflective of some other things going on nationwide with other organizations. ...

New SCCA Solo class - CAM (Classic American Muscle)

Unrestricted engine, suspension and brakes, all on 200 treadwear street tires. Sounds like a lot of tire melting fun.

I'll preregister, it's just that when I glanced at the site I didn't see it asking for money yet. I probably didn't go deep enough. Also, the two times I've taken SSS classes before there was no charge, so, while minor, I'm a little surprised by the need for $20 now. It's no big deal, though. OMR ba...

Jim,
It's high time I redo my SSS certification, but that's the only thing I'd go for. Should I do the motorsportreg.com thing and just show up Saturday @8AM with $20 in hand?

I'm not much of a car show guy, but I heard about this event and thought maybe some of you'd like to know about it. http://www.britishironnwa.org/show13.html Go there and admire cars that leak and worship Lucas, the Lord of Darkness. Actually, I don't know this group at all, but the cars and people ...

Matt - thanks for posting results so quickly. Justin, Sara, Tim, Matt and everyone else who comes out early, works hard and leaves late - thanks. These events don't happen without you guys. Boy, was that a hard lot to design a course for. I knew about the big defects, but the recent rains caused eve...
