OMR Members On TV?

OMR members David and Susie Small will be flagging at Turn 14 when the Indycars race at Detroit's Belle Isle circuit on Sunday, June 3. The race will be broadcast by the ABC network beginning at 2:30 PM CDT.

Turn 14 is the last corner (on the pointy end of the island in the Detroit River) before the cars/drivers approach Pit In and the Start/Finish line.

Hopefully their job didn't turn into standing on the concrete blocks to make sure they didn't go anywhere. The pavement seemed to have an happy relationship with gravity.

High cornering forces ripped up the patches and concrete chunks of the old pavement, sending a few large pieces towards the stands at high speed. One driver even wrecked due to debris. The race was delayed for a long time while they figured it out.
