I'm on my third week of waiting for clutch parts to arrive, and months into waiting on my front strut rebuild. The SE-R can race today, but I'll probably only have fresh tires by the first event.

A few bright spots:

Raxles, an outfit doing like-new axle rebuilds, turned around an axle for me in a few days. If you have anything with CV-joints, these guys are great.

Also, I ordered Bridgestones from Tire Rack at 4:21PM on Monday, and UPS dropped them on my step just after 5PM the next day. 25 hours shipped, excellent.

wheels and tires ordered. bank account pwnd. I just have to keep telling myself that at least I won't be buying tires once a year for the next three years or so... :roll:

It seemed like a nice day, so I decided to start on the clutch. The Sentra is sitting nose-up on jack stands with everything detached from the transmission, ready to drop.

Sometimes I wonder what normal people do when they come home from work.

Changes out of Corporate clothes, Goes into kitchen, makes dinner, sits down to another TV sitcom (Dexter, Anthony Bordaine, Chuck, Heroes), finishes dinner, watches rest of tv show, brushes teeth, checks internet, goes to bed....

Home stretch. This car will be racing on Sunday.

Wrestling a transmission into place is the easy part. No so much laying upside down in the floorboard, feet resting on top of the open driver's side door, and trying to attach the clutch cable to the pedal way behind the dash with a contortionist's dexterity. I couldn't do this nonsense for a living.
