Jetta took a digger....

Post by scoTT » Sun Aug 24, 2008 4:52 pm

After the not so friendly journey into the hill and tree... the damage has been discovered...

fender pulled out real nice didnt even break the paint... haha radiator support is toast... popped the level sensor out of the washer jug (which was why it was leaking).... broke the right splash shield.... Headlight was undamaged...

I had shaved a molding and parklight off the bumper which is where it cracked, which should be able to be fixed using the same stuff I shaved the bumper with.... once I unbolted the bumper it took its shape again....

Its really not as bad as it looked.... I got lucky...Jetta will be fixed by next AutoX but ill be in the Rabbit.....haha

wheel has a few scrathces.... tire is good... Ill dismount it at work and get all the dirt out of the inside of the tire... spin it to make sure its straight... drives good.. no vibrations or pulling... mostly all cosmetic...

That is much better than I originally thought. From a distance it looked like there may have been some suspension damage as well. Those vdubs are pretty tough.... :D
