Thanks for a great EVO weekend
Thanks to all the folks who helped make this weekend's EVO school a great event. Korry Berger, Bobby Jasan, Jim Rowland, Matt Longpine, Natasha Longpine, Jeanne Creech and Scott Creech.
Despite less-than-ideal weather most of the weekend, I couldn't be happier with the way it went. Korry, Bobby, Jim and Matt for setup, Jim, Natasha, Jeanne for timing and scoring, Jeanne and Scott for safety steward-ing, Scott and Jim for all-around go-fer-ing and always being handy when something needed doing, Matt for managing the new timing equipment, with assist from Natasha and Scott, too, on occasion. Also Tim Datema, many of the participants, and all the folks above for help with breakdown and trailer load. Outstanding team effort.
Thanks to our instructors Andy Hohl from St Louis, Tim Herron from Kansas City, and Mark Jorgenson from Lincoln, national contenders and great teachers one and all. Special thanks to Andy for advice organizing the event, and for Mark for filling in last minute. I wish we'd asked for Mark from the outset. (He's good for at least 1 second, guaranteed.) And to Tim for general rain-godliness.
Big fun. Let's go again.

If anyone doubts the willingness of people to pay money for professional autocross instruction or its value, or our region's ability to fill a school, let us present this weekend as Exhibit A.
To quote the famous racecar driver Ricky Bobby, "What does that do? Does that blow your mind? That just happened!"
Stan, great idea and execution. Everything went extremely well. I wish I could autocross for a living, because this education was way more fun and applicable than anything I learned in conventional schooling.

Great weekend. Great schools. Big thanks to those in the region for making it happen. Really.
I'm even glad it rained. It exposed some holes in my game and gave me the opportunity to work on them and hopefully fix them.
Thanks also to the instructors. Andy helped me with the mental side of things. Tim probably helped me most with car placement and *ahem* input discipline in certain situations. Mark helped with a bit of everything as he brought a bunch of ESP sympathy, insight and understanding.

Stan, I want to thank YOU for putting-forth all this effort, giving your time and who-knows how much blood, sweat, and tears to make this happen. And then you gave up your spot for someone-else, and to top that off directed the events from the trailer AND kept times for Phase 1 on both days! You are The Man!
I want to also thank Andy, Tim, and Mark for instructing us both days; you guys outta charge for this stuff, instead of givin' it all away.....(joke) I learned a lot, got the ol' gears a' meshing, and hopefully got a bit faster as well. I really appreciated the one-on-one Andy gave me after, during the fun-runs. I found myself going-over in my head everything I could remember as I fell-asleep last night; then doing it again on the way to work this morning.
Matt and Natasha, Jim, Korry, Tim - I also want to thank you guys for your efforts. Double-Props to Bobby Jasan - the guy not only fetched-up the trailer afterward, but came out Friday to help set-up, and didn't even get to attend the event.

As a SCCA member who started this madness with OMR at Sam's on East Sunshine (98ish) im really happy OMR decided to take on Evolution Performance Driving Schools. Its simply the best way to get a step up on your competition and have a fantastic AX Experience. I would also credit Evolution instructors in Andy H and Tim H for the success i have had over the last few years as a Evolution Student myself.
So now that you wrote the top 10 things you learned and put them in your glove box, You visualized your learning's over and over, its time to Bring it at the Neosho Mid Div and bring back some T's for OMR region!
I have done a lot to may car over the more than 10 years i have had it and there simply isn't any better modification than Driver Education!
Also as some follow up to Evolution Performance Schools Im chairing a KCR SCCA school.

Thank you to those who took the time to answer the survey at www.evoschool.com All the feedback helps and we really appreciate it. I saw some of you using/practicing things from the school at the divisional.
Have fun and drive well.
