100 Acre Wood Rally 2011 - Feb. 25-26

The annual Rally in the 100 Acre Wood is this Friday and Saturday in the Ozarks region Southeast of Rolla. If you have never been, this is the nearest opportunity to see a national-level stage rally - the style of racing seen in WRC.

You may see some locals around. Mat Peck and I will be hanging out in service as crew members, and the Creeches will be volunteering as workers.

Autocrosser and RallyCrosser Christy Carlson will be driving a Sentra SE-R in Group 2. You may recognize her from events around MiDiv, and her husband David runs the big Solo/Rally photography site GotCone.com. I'll be helping crew her car with some Solo regulars from NEOkla and Nebraska regions. Daniel Vaught, who is out of Little Rock and has run at OMR Solo events before, will be driving a Civic hatchback in Group 2, as well. Mat and I helped crew for him last year.

Also, Matt Conte, who competed at our last RallyCross, will be in the co-driver seat of the Haas Mazda MX-3. Check out Matt's video recap from last year:
