3 February - MoKan Sunday Fun Drags

Post by FlatBlack » Sun Jan 27, 2013 11:18 pm

A few of us from NWA are coming up to MoKan next Sunday to beat the winter fever.

The 240SX is 99% done with the winter project list, but I'm going to the dyno on 16 February and I don't feel like shattering my stock KA trans just yet.

I'm throwing my 1979 KZ650 on my friend's trailer and I plan to run the bike. Not expecting anything impressive [13s would be nice?] but it'll be fun either way.

Hope to maybe see some of you out there!

This Sunday, February 3rd, 2013 8)

Gates open at Noon I think? We are leaving Bentonville, Arkansas at 10:45, so we should get there by 12:00-12:30.

Would be great to see the Moustang out there! I'll be on my Kawasaki, I don't have a flat bed trailer yet and my 240SX transmission is on the way out.

Weather channel says 59* and sunny for Asbury - that cold to you?

Sounds like a Weiner. I might get The Wife to go, even. If I can fix the other car by then, that is.....

Matt, you gonna make 100AW this year? All I know for sure that we're workin' is the Super SS3 @ Potosi, and SS7 FTC/ATC.

Sorry I couldn't make it, Matt - I have a car scattered all-over the drive right now - seems I need a few more parts than I estimated at first.

I passed your house and saw it sitting there. Hope you get it back together quickly!

My bike is REALLY slow haha. My friend Jason on the blue bike in the top of this picture ran a 10.6 1/4 - it's a 636cc!!! blows my mind.

Image

My friend Doug brought his ZX10-R and ran a 10.31 at 142 MPH, this was his first trip to the drag strip, ever. Ugh.

Image

Chris broke two axles so I had to tow him back haha. Loving my truck.
