Thanks everyone for coming today (we had a pretty good showing for the weather looking kind of ominous). Special thanks to Justin our trailer tower/course designer/first heat SSS and all around nice guy. Also a shout out to Radlee for helping us swap tires to do our little tire test, it really helped a lot (more on that in a future post BFG Rival vs. Federal 595 RSR).

I look like a tomato Gonna go buy a couple gallons of sunblock.
Was pretty bummed out when my turbine tried to make a run for freedom, but you Autocross people are too kind - Will let me co-drive my old Z, and Bobby offered a drive in his Miata. Had a great time, see everyone soon.

After everyone left, I "tried it" using the chalk-outlines of where the cones were - and if you exaggerate and obliquely-offset your line through the "eight", and went to full steering-lock, you could get-through it fairly quickly after a few tries, but would blow the exit....g3joshua wrote:I liked the concept of the figure 8. I think we just needed it to have a bit more room Only got to try it out once, but I think after two or three times going through it, it would have been a bit easier to navigate the exit
"Needs Work".
We also REALLY need to ensure that, in the future, our "standard" elements are "Legal" - 15' gates and 45' slaloms. I like "Technical". It's a challenge. I do not like "Painful".
