Foley trophies twice at spring nats

Post by stanbell » Fri May 31, 2013 6:46 pm

The lincoln "spring nationals" was last weekend, and included both a pro solo and a national tour. because it's on the same pavement as the nationals, this memorial day event always has an excellent turnout of past national champs and contenders.

...and in the contender category, our own Mark Foley trophied with a fourth in the pro solo and a fifth in the national tour against strong competition, including 8-time national champion Mark Madarash.

congratulations on an outstanding event, Mark. sorry we sent you up there alone.

Followed the results on SoloLive with my phone.

Couldn't bring myself to watch the streaming coverage though. Spring Nats are a huge pile of fun and I had to miss another. :(

Good job Mark.

Simple and crude, but effective. The car too.

Yeah, I agree, Mark is definitely on his game. In addition to his ProSolo and Tour results, look how he clobbered us in our Regional event on 5/19. That he beat us all so soundly on such a non-ponycar course was really impressive. I was a little busy in T&S, but I was trying to learn by observation when I could watch him on course. Well done, Mark.
