Back in the 1960s and 1970s, there was an active SCCA ClubRacing track called Lake Garnett, about an hour Southwest of the Kansas City area. It's the track pictured on OMR's annual Last of the Great Ones award. OMRSCCA started as a satellite region of KCRSCCA, so there's a historical connection to the club.

The track was repaved not long ago, and last year a classic car group separate from the SCCA organized a classic car event there with car show and track lapping. They're doing it again this year. There's also an autocross hosted by the Jaguar club, but I'm not sure if it's a Jag club style course (standard figure eight) or a regular autocross course.

If you're into that sort of thing, registration opened today. Snail mail only - the digital era would have been undignified to Joseph Lucas. Could be fun to drive a historic track in anger with a classic sports car or modern equivalent (New Mini, Miata, etc.).
