Wouldn't you rather autocross than finalize your taxes?

The forecast as of right now looks chilly, but good. Overnight low of 30, and a forecast high of 45 with temp at about the time of first car on course of 35. Only a 10% chance of precip. We're in much better shape than some neighboring regions for this weekend - for instance KC region had to cancel. This is minor, but I also keep in mind that the big lot at Crowder is built for truck training and is a very thick surface with a deep bed to it. It has a lot of thermal mass, so it resists freezing a little better than most roads.

Also, I heard from management at Crowder that they've changed the security arrangement at Crowder College and that there is a patrol car on campus 24/7 now. We bring this up at every driver's meeting, but be sure to follow the rules coming and going to and from our events. We want to be good stewards and to maintain our strong relationship with Crowder College. Be mindful of the low 25 mph max speed limit on campus roads. Displays of speed or hooning on campus would definitely get you booted from our events, and apparently now it'd also be more likely to get you a ticket, too.

Well, that was cold. I haven't thawed out completely yet, but audited results are posted:

Hey All,

Gee whiz was that cold. I shivered all through the first heat and my mouth sort of froze up so I couldn't form words. In spite of the weather the event ran well, there were no safety problems, and it didn't rain. Thanks to Scott for his organization and to everyone for working in those conditions.

Thanks to Kent for a great course and congrats for top PAX.

Bud
