Post by Import Specialist Racer » Tue Jul 24, 2007 7:23 pm

Want to get fast? or how about real fast? Are you tired of getting beaten every time out? Here's the answer. Evolution Performance Driving School.
Its the best Autocross School in the country. Taught by National Champions and top National Caliber drivers. Most National Champions have been to them. You can go to them. and come back and make a statement.

Click this: http://autocross.com/evolution/modules/news/

they will make you do them in order. Phase 1,2, Challenge, Extreme.

Here is the event information:

2nd Annual KCRSCCA SOLO NATIONALS ONE UP Autocross School

Registration is through MyAutoEvents.com

Friday August 17th and Saturday August 18th 2007

Find out how the National Champion drivers do it!

Phase 1 - Skill Building – Friday the 17th - Combined with race proven skills, concepts, and techniques this course will improve the performance of all drivers on both road and track. Even experienced driver’s benefit from the Phase 1 course as a refresher for those things they’ve forgotten over the years or perhaps never learned. No matter what type of car you drive the Phase 1 skills will improve your overall driving abilities.

Phase 2 - The Mental Edge – Saturday the 18th -Building upon the skills learned in Phase 1, Phase 2 takes the driver into new areas of mental race preparation, allowing the Phase 1 skills to be applied as second nature. Various driving exercises are conducted throughout the day to improve the driver’s visual and mental imaging of the course, resulting in quicker lap times. This course has worked "magic" in reinforcing the importance of Phase 1 skills and transferring those skills to every autocross course you may encounter.

Driver Challenge - Saturday only – Have you taken Phase 1 and Phase 2? Have you got some autocrossing seat time under your belt and reached a place where shaving time on course seems to be impossible? Are you trying to keep up on your looking ahead and thinking ahead? Then the Challenge school is for you!! In addition, if you run a Prepared or Modified car this school will allow you to practice the Phase 1 and Phase 2 concepts in your regular autocross car!

Returning for a Second Year - Evolution AX Extreme (Friday and Saturday). See Evolution’s website for more details.

Costs:
Phase 1 - $260
Phase 2 - $260
Drivers Challenge - $260

Phase 1 & 2 - $500
Evolution AX Extreme - $500

EVO schools are an excellent value, and I recommend them. KC isn't far from Springfield, NWA, SE KS, or anywhere OMR regulars drive from.

If my money is right, I might have to think about Phase II.

I just got back from the evo school. It was a ton of fun and would recommend it to anyone. I feel faster so everyone better watch out lol. The best and worst thing about the school is between the 2 days we got close to 50 runs in. So much experience in a short amount of time. Also so much tire gone in two days. Just my 2cents on the school.

50 runs, nice. Falken should sponsor Evo, because Azenis are the tire to bring.

I wish I could have gone.

8) Street tires are always good for these kinds of things. And Azenas are good unless you want to go fast. then its the Shaved Bridgestone or the Yokamama Neova - for Street Tire classes anyway. Bridgestones are cheaper and may still have the SCCA rebate of $100. And they will be .5 - 1.0 faster than an Azena. I ran Azena's in 04/05 and on Yoks now. They feel more like R compounds.

Evo School: My Co-Driver was there in my car and did the Challenge. We figured out from yesterdays event at Arrowhead he was .9 faster right off the bat. He used to be 2.0 behind me and now closing the gap. He will be working on his skills and applying them as time goes on as I have been since Spring when I went to evo in Salina. So if you went I can see you being faster and faster at every event. Then take the next tier school. Like if you have done P1 do P2, then the Challenge.

And, You guys can also go to my School. I put on a BMW Autocross School (3years now). Have to be a BMW member but total cost is under $100. I cap them at 30 students to maximize drive time. I have Killer instructors like National Champ Craig Wilcox (GS), Brandon Burkhardt (STU) and Jerry Irvine (4th STU), Tim Harron (2nd CS and also Evo Instructor). This years event was a blast and a long course at Arrowhead. We all had all the driving we could handle.

Have a fast one.
