you have to be a member and carry the card yes. and I believe that if your membership lapses your sss schoolin will have to be taken again when you renew again. :)

Solo Safety School meeting place and time

Post by budweeks » Sun Jan 20, 2008 9:43 pm

Hi Guys,

I have heard from Rodger. We will meet at Schultz and Dooley's Too at the corner of National and Primrose. I don't know where that is so I'll need to get some directions. This is where the monthly OMR board meetings are held so someone out there probably can give directions for us out-of-towners. As for the time on the 26th, Rodger suggested 11 or 11:30 AM which is too early for me since I am coming from two hours away and would have several hours to kill before the dinner. I know that Bob and Rodney are also coming from a couple of hours away. Does anyone have a problem with say 2 PM? That should give us plenty of time for the class and to get to the dinner site by 5 PM. What say you?

Bud

sounds good.

here is a link to google maps:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&oe= ... loc=A&om=0

you should be able to get direction to the restaurant's from where you are! Just copy that long string into your browser.

since URL's dont seem to work that reminds me i need to get rid of this horrible forum software... :x

2 PM is good.
Especially for the folks coming up out of AR.

Will there be enough room for all of those that are planning on attending?
That is if Rodger is planning on using the meeting room in the back.

If you are coming in on I44 from West of Springfield - jump on James River Freeway and ride it to So. National Ave. The monthly meeting room is all the way in the back past the restrooms. There is a rear enterance that most of us use but if you are not famaliar it would probably be better to just come thru the front.

Also there is limited parking at Hickok's so you may have to park North of there by the city bus terminal and walk down (maybe 1/2 city block).

2PM would be great. 11:30 I cant make as I have a appointment that morning.

S&D too will be to small if everyone who says they want to show up shows up! you can get 10 people in that little room. I'm expecting more 12 - 15 range. but we could always go into the bar area if thats a big deal. not like it will be busy. ummm on that thought its a bar? do bars open by 2? lol or do I underestimate the power of booze?

Solo Safety Class

Post by budweeks » Tue Jan 22, 2008 3:29 pm

Hey Ya'll,

OK then, it's set. The SSS class will be at Schultz and Dooley's Too at 2PM on Saturday. If it gets crowded, we'll just deal with it. See you there.

Very good turnout. :D

Now to get everyone official then OMR should not have SSS worries again. 8)
