Solo Safety Class
Hey Guys,
I just read in another post about scheduling a Solo Safety Steward class in conjunction with an autocross or a test and tune session. I couldn't reply there so I am starting a new post. I know of three people including myself who want to become licensed as SSS. It looks as if there are others. My preference is to keep the extra driving to a minimum. I've talked to Rodger, who is a SSS instructor, and he suggested a class (about two hours long) in the afternoon before the awards dinner. That sounds good to me and Mark R. since we would be coming to Springfield from Kansas anyway. The part of the licensing that involves training at an autocross can be done at any SCCA autocross.
Who else is interested in becoming licensed? Will that time for the school work for you?

I'll contact Rodger and work out the where and when for that day, and then post it.

Update on Solo Safety class
I have heard from Rodger and he will do the class on Sat., Jan. 26. The time will probably be some time in the early afternoon (2 or 3 PM). He is scouting places to have it in Springfield. Could even be his home. More info as it becomes available.

Solo Safety Class
Hi Guys,
I still haven't heard from Rodger on the exact place and time on the 26th. I still expect it to be that afternoon and run for about two hours. I don't think there is any limit to the number in the class, but if there are more than 6 perhaps we should know that. I know about myself, Mark R., and Mark F. Who else is interested? Maybe we can come up with a rough estimate. Leave a post if you are interested.
