NEOkla autocross on Saturday, Tulsa

Post by JimR » Thu Apr 24, 2008 3:01 pm

Tulsa county fairgrounds let NEOkla have use of the lot this Saturday, so if you have the itch, come race.

Info:
http://www.neoklascca.org/soloschedule.htm

Optional pre-reg:
http://www.4113pittsburg.com/registration/

SCCA members are four runs for $18.00 (class), or eight for an extra $14.00 (index, letter "N" for novice, "T" for street tire, or "X" for regular PAX).

Also, you will need real SCCA-legal numbers, for sale at the trailer if needed, not shoe polish or masking tape.

Lots of runs, run right!

I'm not a huge fan of Saturday events, as they disfavor the working man. Even though we must consider the fiery damnation of church-going souls, our Saturday events always had headcounts too low to break even for the club, thus the all-Sunday format this year.

NEOkla caught a break by landing an event this month before the minor league game the next day. The site has to be packed up by 5PM, but that should be no problem. You didn't hear it from me, but the way the turnout looks now, that might mean fun runs like we've had on many NEOkla Saturdays.

I don't know when the online pre-reg shuts down, but walk-ups are allowed. If anyone can make it, it should be fine autocrossin'. The weather looks great tomorrow.

Also: "We are going to come in off of 21st street by the Micro-Tel and enter the track on the southwest end. If you follow the access road off 21st, turn right at the stop sign toward the track. It is paved over the track there so we won't get dirty tires."
