October 12th Event Pre-Registration

Post by magilson » Fri Oct 03, 2008 5:23 pm

As with our last event we will begin pre-registration in an effort to expedite the process and increase the time available for runs.

If you are planning on coming. PM me using the forums or E-mail Registration@omrscca.org and use the subject line "8th Event Pre-Registration".

If you know of anyone who is coming please let them know that they can pre-register!

When registering please include:

Full Name
Member Number
Car Class
Car Number

If you ran a previous event you will need to use the same number again. We understand a lot of people were disappointed that they couldn't use the number they had for some time but this was all explained in the first thread. It is a huge help to the registration process and makes time-keeping much easier which is important since we are rotating more new people through many positions within the Autocross event.

If you do not include all four items I will not be able to pre-register you. The exception is if your a non-member please say non-member in place of your member number.

This will save a lot of work on the guys in the trailer, and will assist in getting the event started on time, and you the driver getting as many runs as possible!

I sent a PM to preregister (hope he got it, it gave me an error message) and I plan on being there @ 7 am to help set up. I can do trailer or waiver station, depending on what everyone else is doing.

Don P is coming, along with a friend of mine. Including Magilson, that puts us at 11 drivers. Still a ways to go. Preregister now!

We will also need a Solo Safety Steward at this event. Is anyone planning to attend that is a SSS? Gotta have at least one SSS to run the event, and two if the SSS's want to drive.

I'll volunteer for SSS. I will not, however, be able to autocross. My opthamologist has taken me off racing and running for a few weeks until this thing with my eye is OK. No G forces or jarring. It is---hang on to your hat---a posterior vitreous detatchment, which I guess is fairly common to those of us that have a few years on their chassis. It is like having a little cloud creep into your vision from time to time. Eventually it will settle out and all will be fine I am told. I'll see you Sunday AM.

Bud Weeks, making that drive when you cannot compete is duty above and beyond the call.

I think we should say thanks and make sure Bud doesn't buy his own lunch.
