I prepared a handout for the event tomorrow. Paddock, grid, and course should be self-evident once you get to the site, but I will post it here for everyone's benefit.
This is our first event here, and we want to stay in the good graces of Crowder College and the Trucking School administrator, Jared Starks.
Use common sense
- Clean up after yourself.
- Watch your speed. It's next door to a college campus.
- No burnouts, drifting, or speeding at the site. We've had guys do this before, and they're not allowed back at OMR events.
About 3/22
As this is our first event and a trust-builder, we are using the most conservative configuration of grid and course. For the divisional, we are aiming to use the concrete quarter of the site for grid, and the whole asphalt area for course.
To maximize course area, paddock will be along the outlying drives and lots. The stretch of Laclede Avenue by the "PADDOCK THIS DIRECTION" arrow in the map is about 1/3rd mile long. Ample space. Wear comfortable shoes.
Be on time
First come, first serve for paddock and work assignments. We're serious about starting on time to maximize runs, and punctuality is in your best interest.
Lunch
Lunch will be coordinated with a local pizza place by OMR RE Curtis Wood and family. We will have a short lunch break, but again, in the interest of maximizing runs, we recommend you stay on site and buy a few slices and some cokes. If you are late for a second heat work assignment, we're not shy about a disqualification.
The basics are here in our Event Information:

Today we found out the Crowder site has a safety wavier that everyone will have to sign for its insurance. This is in addition to the standard SCCA wavier you know and love. One extra signature. Should be painless.
The forecast now shows that rain chances are slim. The day will be cool and breezy to begin with, and then become warmer and sunny. Poor weather shouldn't keep anyone at home. Break out those race tires, and come on down.

Yet again.
If you're going to drift or light 'em up, don't do it where we can still see it from the site. With your numbers still on the car.
Please do not come back.
