EVO school--would you attend a local school?

Post by stanbell » Wed Sep 16, 2009 7:50 pm

I'd like to know who'd be interested in a local school next season. we'd need neosho, ducks would be pointless. the normal thing is for the club to provide the event insurance, but no other involvement required. cost would likely be about 250/head. usually cost up to the promoter. covering insurance, instructor travel expense, instructor compensation, hard to get it done for less than 250/person (that's usually both phase 1 & 2.) i'm happy to arrange tho would be equally happy to have help. i'd propose all three of phase 1, phase 2, and either phase 3 or challenge depending on interest. could possibly run a teen school to help fund the other stuff, if we believe it would attract some attendance. what do you think? please respond to the poll and comment.

For those of you that are not familiar with what the difference is in all of the phases check out http://www.evoschool.com/index.php?page=classes for complete description. I wanted to make an evo school this year but I had something going on for the two events that were somewhat close to us this year. I would definitely have to clear the calendar to make an event in our own backyard.

i lied about the club involvement. i just reviewed evo site. local club or some properly-equipped generous soul also provides cones, timing vehicle/timing equip.

Jeanie and I have been talking about doing an EVO school anyway - if one was hosted by our Region, we would DEFINITELY attend, as that would make it "cheaper" for us.

I'd be interested in the Challenge option.

This month's OMR SCCA board meeting with be held at 7:00 PM on October 13th at Schultz and Dooley's Too (3512 S National)
The board meeting announcement kind of gets lost on the http://www.omrscca.org homepage in between all of the other announcements. The next several weeks we have several events going on :D

Hi Stan, I just noticed your PM and responded.

If it didn't go through, let me know here and I'll give you a call.
