Falken has an updated RT615K+, and Tire Rack has a $100 prepaid card offer when buying a set of four through April 2017.

Pricing seems decent.

Some initial impressions of three new tires, as tested by autocross hot shoe David Whitener:

  • TOYO R888R - 100 treadwear tire designed for track use. Not legal in Solo Street or Street Touring categories.
  • BFG Rival S 1.5 - update to smaller Rival S sizes that increases sidewall stiffness/response.
  • Hankook RS-4 - new version of an old favorite that still likes heat to go fast.

If you don't subscribe to Grassroots Motorsports, their latest 200TW tire article with the Dunlop Z3 is now online:

The Bridgestone RE-71R and BFGoodrich Rival continue to be the top autocross street tires. Dunlop's new Direzza ZIII is not out of the hunt, but it doesn't fare as well on hot days or when pinched onto narrow wheels.

The Hankook Ventus R-S4 still looks like a good choice for lapdays and crapcan enduro racing. Recovers from heat, lasts longer.

For cold/wet autocross and more daily-oriented three-season performance, the Continental ExtremeContact Sport looks like a solid choice.
