No, you'll still be in stock, so long as you don't replace anything forward of the 2nd catalyst. As the S197 Mustang's mufflers are aft of the axle, and WELL behind the 2nd cat = No Problem.

However, keep in mind that if you decide in the future that you want to "play" at the National Level, ultra-loud exhausts are starting to be frowned-upon, and the current limit is 100db @ 50'. My Bullitt blows about 89db with the factory mufflers (mem'ry here), and it's slightly louder than a Standard GT, if you want a comparison.

There is a vast difference in 89dB and 100dB though... My vette with factory exhaust is in the mid-upper 80s too.

I didn't get hooked my first event, but it was a few after that I realized I wanted something else to autox than a 3800lb CTS-V... Good luck!
Miatas. Lots of them. Nearly every flavor. Lots of mods to some. Not much to others.

Every 10dB is twice as loud if I remember correctly...

Actually, about every 3db is Twice as Loud, IIRC.

Not me. I just tried to read the Wikipedia entry on it and my head exploded.
