Engine Swap

Post by Thorox » Thu Jul 03, 2014 9:06 am

Does an engine swap, keeping the same manufacturer, but larger displacement automatically put the car into SM? It seems like that is what I get from the rules.

1992 Firebird Formula (came with 305 FI) swapped for carb 350 is the car in question.

I'm slightly oversimplifing, but basically, yes.

Also, your specific example would go to SM, unless another entry on the same line in Street Prepared came with that engine (proper codes and everything) and the engine is built to SP specs.

So, yeah, SM. :-)

I suppose, but SM's PAX is much lower than XP's

CAM might also be a possibility, but it's PAX is even worse. Cool class, though. :-)

Well, it does appear that a 350 was an option on the car so, I guess I have more reading to do...
