2004 Mustang Mach 1 for sale

Post by budweeks » Tue Dec 22, 2009 12:39 pm

Car is sold---finally! A guy came from St. Louis and said it was the nicest one he looked at. Didn't even try to dicker on the price. Sweet!

Maybe 412 hp and 390 lb/ft of torque ???

Heck, even I'm thinking seriously about this one and I'm not a Mustang guy. :D

I saw a very rare and hard to find 1973 AMC Gremlin "Denim Special Edition" in Joplin last week. That's right denim seats, denim door panels, denim trim........ :-)

Bud, normally I'd be excited about your sale, as Bobby would buy it and I might get a shot at driving an entertaining and well-maintained car.

I hope it gets into good hands, and we'll look forward to what's next.

Yes, but they weren't very popular in the class. Lots of chafing around hard corners. Denim upholstery and short shorts don't mix.

Yup. Time to move on. I guess it was too much to expect that Bobby would have the jones for a Mustang. I plan to be in some kind of an autocross conveyance next year, but I'll have to see how things fall into place. Scott, you are a perceptive guy, and that does appear to be a great deal. On the other hand, a Gremlin with denim upholstery? I like weird autocross cars, but that might be a little too much of a challenge. Reminds me of the time a girl I used to date and I went to St Louis in one, and we hit a dead opossum and the exhaust came off and....well, never mind.

Hope you don't mind - I linked this to the Bullitt forums. Those guys are the Cobra/Bullitt/Mach I/Terminator Cobra/Shelby GT/Bullitt-again type of gearhead. Nobody there has even seen pics, and it's already gotten compliments.........

I hope somebody buys this car soon. I don't have the space or money for two Mustangs.

Well if you don't have room for it I'll take it off your hands  only problem is that you won't see any money for it until a couple years out of college, hows 2015 sound? lol, hahahaha

You took a date to St. Louis in a Denim Gremlin  Wow, Bud you must have been pretty smooth back in the day. I figured those things were pretty much "girl proof"

Fortunately, it was her Gremlin, actually then called a Spirit. I don't remember why we didn't take my Saab 99 EMS. Other than seats that felt like they were folding my back in half, I don't think it was too bad a trip in the AMC. This one had the VW 4 cylinder motor.
