I raced my rx7 for the first time and am serious need of tires. I am on a very limited budget and would ideally like some 17s with a 255 or bigger width. If anyone has some used tires that they are wanting to get rid of cheap please pm me

I know you probably don't want to buy new, but I found some General UHPs on closeout a few weeks ago

Would be open to 18s well. The more research I do, the more I think I need 295-315 width. I need that's much grip as possible

Race or Street rubber? Do you have wheels wide-enough for such width? Race tires seem to be less-sensitive to "over-tiring" than streets.

Squish a 295 street tire on an 8" rim, you're just wearing the tires to death, and not really getting any better return on traction than a 255 on the same rim, except the tires cost more.

I havent bought wheels yet. Looking at race tires only.

Found some 18 inch tires. If you know anyone with wheels that would fit 285/3018 please let me know. Thanks

I've got some 315-17 Hoosier A6 tires with some good life left in them, $150 for 4.
