WTB: open car hauler trailer

Post by JimR » Wed Feb 13, 2013 9:33 am

I'm looking for an open deck car hauler that needs nothing to put into service, probably sometime within the next month. If I don't find anything used that I like, I'll go buy new. Just wanted to check the lay of the land first.

Target size would be a standard-width 18-foot with common car hauler features like dovetail, electric brakes, and tie-down points. Only a Sentra or Miata would ride on it currently, so 16-foot might be okay if the deal is good.

I'm also looking to avoid old cycled-out/rotted/rusted wiring, tires, bearings, deck, and frame components. Has to be clean and ready to roll. Not looking for a project - have plenty of other projects and events vying for my time!

Have a line on one? Have a favorite dealer? Fill me in on the usual stuff like asking price, specs, condition, and construction (wood, steel, or aluminum).

Ad sez $2195. High-Average price. I WAS gonna jump on that as the frickin' Deal of The Century if $1295 was, indeed the price.
