New here and class question

Post by RedBomber » Wed May 26, 2010 2:05 am

Hi, im nick. ive been wanting to autocross for awhile and now that im out of school i want to get started. buuut i was wondering what class im in.
my car is a 1988 toyota supra turbo. i have upgraded shocks, springs, intake, 3 in turboback exhaust with no cats, and a carbon fiber hood waiting to go on.

what class would i be in without the hood? and what class would it put me in with it on?

thanks for the help guys!

Sounds like a candidate for one of the Street Tire (ST*) classes. If not, start looking to Street Prepared.

No cats = not legal for the ST classes

E Street Prepared without the hood

Street Modifed with the hood

BTW... ST = Street Touring... not Street Tire.

Simple and crude, but effective. The car too.

Nick's CF hood didn't fit right and he just popped a head gasket.

He was approaching 200k miles on a stock head gasket on his 7M-GTE, an impressive feat! My roommate Nate is helping him swap on the new one but I don't know if he'll be ready by Sunday.

Good luck, Nick!
