Post by DEBBS42 » Thu Feb 17, 2011 12:07 am

hello there,
my name is DEBBS. i was born and raised in springfield, left in '08, and now i am returning... i've lived here in alaska for a few years, and have been autoXing... i realy enjoy it, and would like to continue when i get back to springfield in june... if anyone has any information on when and where local autoX events take place, woould you please inform me?
if your curious about what i drive, my youtube link should be in my signature block... if something went wrong, my youtube name is DEBBS42 as well... there isnt much on there, but we only have a limited time of each year to do these things up here... lol... anyway, i have a scion tC... i dont have much done yet, but its a working progress, and there is much more to come...
well, thanks for the time, and hopefuly ill see some of you soon in a few autoX events...

Welcome back to the Ozarks (at least when you get here). Most of the events, it not all, will be held at Crowder college in Noesho. It's a bit of a drive but the lot is nice. Hope to see you there!

Rallycross is very similar to autocross on dirt. Here's our own Huff co-driving my car at our last RallyCross event:

We will post event information and pre-registration details for each event as the dates draw nearer. We have our autocross schedule posted currently. I'll tell you right now that Neosho is a great site, in good shape, and well worth the drive.

See you soon!

Okay, okay... Nice... Well, unfortunitly, as exciting as that sounds and looks... I mean, im not trying to be one of "THOSE" guys, but idk about rallying my baby girl... I like to keep her iff the dirt... Dont mean to br a panzie, but she has a pearl paint job...
Ooh... Another thing... Im not sure uf tgere is a for sell kind of thread on here, but if anybody knows where to get ahold of a late 80's-early 90's model celica alltrack (the awd version) i am looking to get ahold of one... I dont care if the motor is shot, all i need is the tranny, drivedrain, and suspention components... Im lookin to do an AWD swap on the tC... Its goin to need a bit of fabrication work, time, and money... But big plans in store... So if anyone has any leads, lemme know will ya?
Thanks ahead of time...

Here is one near Des Moines it looks like from the area code. I just did a search of Craigslist using http://www.allofcraigs.com and this was the only one under $2K in the whole country right now (I'm assuming that you don't want to spend $8-$12K on a real nice one just to cut up). Good luck on the search for a car and keep us posted if this swap does come together.

Welcome back to the Ozarks, I'm looking forward to having another Toyota out there.

Hey thanks... Im lookin into it... Ill def keep posted all progress... But like i said... Its gunna take time... When im done with my whole build (a year or teo from now) it will be arround 450 N/A flywheel Hp awd... And yes, imma go with N/A... Dont get me wrong... Boost is nice, but i want more bragging rites, altgough i wont be doin a whole lot of bragging...

So how often do these autoX events happen? And how many people normaly participate? Here in alaska we have about 2/month but they are kinda small... I mean our average times on one pass per tack is about 50 seconds... Intill only 2 times a year, we have what we call tannacross... Big event 50+ cars... 3 day event... 1st day is sosial gathering, bbq, and car tech... 2nd is half dat of autoX and half day of wheel to wheel... 3rd day is exact same as 2nd... Everyone leaves the day after... It all happens in an abandon airstrip about 6hours away from any towns... Tracks are longer... The whole weekend is pretty much a giant party... See, i would be commin back sooner, but i told everybody that i would have one final tannacross with them... Its on memorial day, so i godda wait till then...

Well thanks for the aid in the search for the AWD platform... And yay for the yotas... Haha...
