SCCA Sponsorship Rules

Post by zoomzoom » Wed Nov 21, 2007 7:44 am

Does someone know (or have access to) the SCCA rules regarding sponsorships? We do have one of the nation's largest automotive parts chains headquartered in Springfield. If we can speak to the right person at O'Reillys (and if SCCA rules permit it), I would think they would participate financially, especially since this is a local automobile enthusiasts organization.

Perhaps we could ask them to underwrite the cost of the trophies for each event in exchange for a banner and the O'Reilly logo on the trophies...

I like the idea....but not sure if rules will allow it.... I do have some contacts with O'reillys...(I know people who know people)

we'll see

Maybee if we have them donate $$$ and we put a small graphic on the website with thier logo.....that way they aren't sponsoring the events...which might be frowned upon...but they are advertising on a local club website. Im sure there is a lot of gray area in that department, and this might slide through. :)
