Radio Transmitter

Post by magilson » Tue May 27, 2008 6:24 pm

I spent a few minutes with the PA amp and the radio transmitter. I have it working as best it can but let me be the first to say that upon further investigation that PA amp is a P O S. Not that we need to moon for what we do but come on! I can turn the Voice Coil into a speaker from all the cross-talk inside the case!!!!

Anyway, the real test will be if the power of the transmitter is enough to reach the shut-down box and/or pit area. I saw an example of a nice system running in St. Louis so I'll just keep trying!

CivicSiGuy works p/t at Best Buy, and could probably purchase a decent amp pretty cheap, should the board approve the purchase...

The amp works as we need it to, I was just saying that I've never seen one quite so crappy.
