June 22nd event planning

Post by JimR » Mon Jun 16, 2008 7:40 pm

Who do we have on board for the autocross on Sunday?

I'll volunteer for the first blank, unless someone else is desperate to design course.

Course design - Jim R.
Waiver station -
Registration/temp members/work assignment sign-in -
Timing equipment -
SSS -
Trailer towing -

Is Ducks settled and good to go? Has anyone noticed anything new in the way of trailers, holes, or other surprises since the last event?

I'm driving back from St. Louis that morning, so I'll take afternoon waiver station. I'll also pick up any necessary supplies (bottled water, flour, wristbands for non-drivers) and give them to Don Peak.

If I'm not pulled to something else, I want to do my second SSS trainee session on Sunday.

Well, Chris S. won't be there so we're just going to have to start pulling in random people who have attended a few times to start doing jobs now. We're running out of regulars willing to help out...

I'll be there, but I don't know if I even care to drive. The Sentra's down.

I spent six months waiting for a pair of custom Koni yellows to be built, drove an hour to the FedEx terminal and back yesterday to retrieve them, put them on the car this morning, and they are BLOWN.

You can push on the front of the car and it bounces like an old Cadillac. I don't have the time, energy, or inclination to put it back together this weekend.

I've eaten dinner with the guy who built them at a SE-R Convention, and he's done tons of similar builds for other people. I'd trust him more than most, but after unusually long turnaround and busted parts, WTF?
