This is the way I went to get to Springfield on Saturday.

Look curvy? It was. At one point, my knees got sore from working the heavy cable-driven clutch and accelerator pedals in the Sentra. Missouri 90, always good. Missouri 86 between Eagle Rock and Cassville, another great.
Missouri 76 was new to me. An "A" for driving value, but a "D-" for traffic. What a stellar road, lots of elevation changes and fast/blind entries, with continuous mountain scenery. New highway construction would not plot a route that twisty. It carries a surprising amount of traffic, considering it's pretty isolated most of the way.
It's too cold for the Miata and its hand-of-God handling, but the SE-R's big brakes, general compliance, and gobs of free-revving torque make up for it.
Some pics from the Oktoberfest. Good food, nice rides, great weather. Can't complain.

I loved the "arena red" 993 Turbo sitting in the corner at Import Specialists. I had that car, that color on my wall way back when it was new. My absolute favorite 911 of Porsche's entire run, right there in person.
