Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA BOD meeting of June 7, 2011. Members present: Matt Longpine, Sam Henry, Bud Weeks, Jim Rowland, Jeff Moore, RE Curtis Wood, plus two OMR members. Call to order: Curtis. Motion to waive the reading of the minutes from last month by Jeff, second by Sam. Passed. Treasurer's report: Motion to approve the report by Matt, second by Sam. Passed. Report on autocross trailer: the new graphics should be done this coming Thursday. John Grisham put in much effort in the process of rebuilding the trailer and the consensus is that his effort should be recognized in some way. Motion by Curtis to give John Gresham a $50 gift certificate for all of the work that he has done to the Autocross trailer even though he doesn't compete, second by Matt. Passed. Autocross report: there is a distinct possibility that the site at Crowder College that OMR has been using for autocrosses will be taken over by FEMA for equipment storage due to the tornado in Joplin. Because of this, the consensus is that the BOD should be scouting other sites to use. Many other potential sites were discussed with many questions remaining. Current plan is as follows: Curtis will contact Prime and Ampac Stan will contact Grizzly Bud will contact Downstream Matt will contact the airport CFI in Joplin will be investigated as well as the front lot at Crowder College Discussion of fundraising for Joplin: SCCA will allow donation of up to $1000 for one autocross or $400 each for several autocrosses. Discussion of insurance for OMR trailer: Sam will check on insurance costs and Jeff will check on inspection process. Two OMR members experienced property losses from the Joplin tornado; Justin Miller and Derek Grisham. Motion to extend their SCCA memberships for one year and to allow them to enter OMR events for free for 2011 by Curtis, second by Matt. Passed. Rallycross report: the Justice Farm would be a good site for a rallycross and will be investigated. There is also a possibility of using MoKan again. No dates set at this time. NEOKLA has a Midiv rallycross event scheduled for July 31 in Tulsa. Motion to adjourn Jeff, second by Matt. Passed. Submitted by Bud Weeks, OMR Secretary.
