Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA BOD meeting of Oct. 4, 2011. Members present: RE Curtis Wood, Jim Rowland, Jeff Moore, Matt Longpine, Sara Huffman, Sam Henry, and Bud Weeks, plus two OMR members. Call to order: Curtis. Secretary's report: Motion to waive reading of minutes from last month by Jeff, second by Matt. Passed. Treasurer's report: Donation to Community Foundation of the Ozarks of $1000 for Joplin relief as previously decided has yet to be paid. OMR has received a certificate from Crowder College showing $5000 of donations made by OMR for use of their site over the past several years. Motion to accept the report by Matt, second by Curtis. Passed. Long discussion of holding an OMR social event, a showing of the movie "Senna," on Oct. 15th. The theater will hold a special showing for OMR members if 30 tickets are guaranteed. Motion to have such an event for 30 OMR members on Oct. 15th by Curtis, second by Jim. Passed. Matt will check with theater owner about schedule and times. Curtis said that he is representing OMR in conference calls regarding Midiv scheduling for 2012. Rally report: discussion of moving the date of the Traveling Tombstone Rally. Curtis will set up rally and it will end at the Wood's home. Entry fees will be $5.00 per car for non-members, free for SCCA members. Driver's meeting will be at 12:00 noon with first car out at 12:30. Motion to move date of rally to Oct. 29 by Jeff, second by Jim. Passed. Rallycross report: event is scheduled for Nov. 6. There are a couple of site possibilities that will be checked on. Autocross report: events scheduled for Oct. both had to be cancelled due to sites becoming unavailable. Discussion of how to finish the autocross season and what sites to use. The Ducks site has been fixed enough that an event can be staged on it. It was agreed that OMR will hold the final event of the season on Ducks on Nov. 13. Curtis will check with Ducks manager. Discussion of how to manage autocross class championship and Autocrosser of the Year points given that three events have had to be cancelled. It was agreed that the OMR Supplemental Regulations would be checked before deciding. Discussion will be handled by e-mail. As a final exclamation point to the meeting, it was discovered that Schultz and Dooleys Too, the establishment where OMR BOD meetings have been held for, according to Jeff, seventeen years, is closing. Disbelief ensued, followed by a profound sense of loss and feelings of abandonment. Several BOD members will check on other sites for the next meeting. Motion to adjourn by Bud, second by Jeff.
