Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA BOD meeting of Sept. 4, 2012.  Members present: RE Curtis Wood, Jeff Moore, Bud Weeks, Matt Longpine, Justin Huffman, Tim Datema, and 8 OMR members.
 
Call to order: Curtis.
 
Secretary's report: Motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Jeff, second by Justin.  Passed.
 
Treasurer's report: Motion to approve by Justin, second by Matt.  Passed.
 
Solo report: Coverage for the next event in October will need to be monitored since there will be a couple of members not able to attend.  The power sweeper worked out great and Don said he will bring it again next event.  Checks have been written for the next sanction.  Although the power sweeper worked to clear the Ducks lot, OMR still needs other options for sites.  It was agreed that if the large lot at Crowder again becomes available, that OMR would be interested in hosting another divisional event.
 
Rallycross report: discussion about where to stage the next rallycross.  The site in Arkansas may be too far away to pull many entrants from the Springfield area.  The Clever, MO, site is still an option, and it had the largest turnout in the past.  There was discussion about the possibility of having a cooperative series with other regions, perhaps St. Louis Region and NEOKLA.
Motion to stage the next rallycross at the Clever site by Matt, second by Jeff.  Passed.
 
Discussion about getting the date of the annual OMR banquet set early.  Matt will work on that with Jan. 19th the preferred date.
 
Discussion of how to get more OMR members.  Ideas discussed included reducing the cost of weekend members and inviting other car clubs to participate.  Bud will check with the Springfield newspaper to see if a notice of our events could be put in their print and/or on-line editions just before the event.
