Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA BOD meeting of May 7, 2013. Members present: Matt Longpine, Jeff Moore, Tim Datema, Bud Weeks, Justin Huffman, Sam Henry, and RE Curtis Wood, plus 10 OMR members including family members. With the essence of Benedryl hanging in the air, Curtis relinquished the gavel to Tim to open the meeting. Call to order: Tim. Treasurer's report: No income yet from the last autocross and no expenses paid yet to SCCA. Motion to approve report by Matt, second by Curtis. Passed. Secretary's report: Motion to waive reading of the minutes by Curtis, second by Matt. Passed. Solo report: Crowder College reports that they expect that FEMA will clear the large lot at Crowder by July 1. Although it is possible that it could be sooner, there is no guarantee. The event scheduled for June 9 has been cancelled due to the small lot not being available on that date. Discussion of what to do about the Midiv event given that the large lot will most likely not be available for the June 22/23 dates. Motion to postpone the Midiv event by Jeff, second by Justin. Passed. Justin will contact Al Hermans, the Midiv coordinator, about the decision and to see if there are any other dates possible. Motion to make June 23 the date for a regional autocross at Crowder using either the large lot, if available, or if not, the small lot by Justin, second by Matt. Passed. Justin to check supplies in the trailer for next autocross. Matt will make a plan to alternate heats and classes for the next event so all participants have an equal chance to run second heat as previously discussed, to be used starting the next autocross. Rallycross report: The May 11 rallycross has been cancelled due to having no site available. The next rallycross scheduled wil be July 14 and Stan will check on the Lebanon site for availability. Street Survival School report: As the site was not available for the May 18 originally scheduled school, Tim has set a tentative date for Sept. 7, although there is as yet no site secured. Several sites were discussed including Ampac, Grizzly, the Fairgrounds, and the airport parking. Bass Pro Corp. and Prime probably will not work as they work 7 days a week. A Solo Safety School is still needed as Rodger Grantham was out-of-town today and so could not do the school before the BOD meeting as previously scheduled. Tim will contact Rodger again to see what time he would be available to do a school. Motion to adjourn by Curtis, second by Justin. Passed.
