Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA BOD from Jan. 6, 2015.  Members present: RE Tim Datema, Matt Longpine, Bud Weeks, Justin Huffman, and Sam Henry, with 8 other OMR members and guests.
 
Call to order: Tim.
 
Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Justin, second by Sam.  Passed.
 
Treasurer's report: balance read with some banquet awards paid for and rallycross audits paid. 
Discussion on income owed OMR from Midiv for the Midiv solo hosted by OMR in 2014.  The treasurer of Midiv passed away with no apparent family.  Therefore it is uncertain who has the legal authority to take possession of the Midiv documents, checkbook and the like so as to pay Midiv debts.
Motion to accept report by Bud, second by Justin.  Passed.
 
Banquet report, summary of preparations: trophies and cups are in.  Curtis Wood and Sam are handling door prizes.  Tim has projector for solo class winner photos.  Matt will check points for Autocross Rookie of the Year.  Radlee Bien is thought to be the only OMR member who has won a Midiv Solo award.  TC Pistole is donating a Ford polo shirt for the fastest Ford product and Bud will figure points based upon PAX.  Also, there was consensus that we should keep the old "Last of the Great Ones" award and just add another layer of polished wood for room for more plaques.

Street Survival School report: a makeup SSS is planned for April 18 at Crowder College Truck Driving School.  We have a solo event planned for April 19 so the trailer will not have to be moved but once.  There is a question if the lot is open for 4/18 as Justin has not heard back from the school manager regarding solo dates.  Also, there is some question if Crowder is still doing teen driving schools.  Tim will follow up.
Discussion about having a SSS at Crowder opens up the possibility of getting students from the Joplin, SW Missouri, and SE Kansas areas, and how to publicize.
 
Solo trailer discussion: the trailer needs to be cleaned out and Justin Andrews may want to work on it.  Stan Bell will help.  Also, there was discussion of how to keep enough waivers on hand and how to approve solo tech for an entire season.  There was further discussion about the idea of buying a membership in SCCA for rookies after they have attended a certain number of events.
