Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA Board of Directors from June 9, 2015. Members present: RE Tim Datema, Scott Woosley, Justin Huffman, Sam Henry, Matt Longpine, Bud Weeks, and Justin Andrews, plus 8 other members and guests. Call to order: Tim. Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Sam, second by Tim. Passed. Treasurer's report: with money still expected from Street Survival. Motion to accept report by Tim, second by Justin H. Passed. Rallycross report: Justin A. says that registration is open for the next 2 event. Solo report: regional events are going well. It was discussed of the wisdom of having a back-up laptop. All equipment for a back-up system is purchased except the laptop. An additional laptop is already available for the Midiv. It was also pointed out that one of the speakers is broken but that we have an extra, and Justin H. will rig it as necessary. Motion to authorize Matt to purchase a laptop with the necessary requirements up to $980 by Sam, second by Justin H. Passed. Midiv planning: because the entry level has reached 70 it will be necessary to run both Saturday and Sunday as is usual. It is planned to have 4 runs per person per day unless it appears we have the time to give 5 runs. It was questioned if a kart-specific safety steward is needed since there are karts entered. It was also pondered if a monitor can be available to display results at the timing trailer and what brackets are needed. OMR tech cards will not be permitted to be used for regular tech for the Midiv. Sara Huffman has registration packets including schedule and etc. and will arrange for sandwiches and such for Friday check-in and tech. The Justin and Sara H. will pick up supplies. The entire Crowder large lot will be used for the course, with paddock and grid set up on the small lot. That will necessitate a short rolling grid near the large lot. Scott will call the porta-potty company and ask for one to be moved to the small lot for grid and paddock. Crowder will provide lunch on-site both days. It was questioned if we will have enough workers to do sweeps and audit sheets and decided that Tim will do both sweeps and audit sheets. Banquet will be at 5 PM Saturday. Donations for door prizes are from Saferacer and Red Zombie. Saferacer will be invited to the banquet. Justin will contact Jim Rowland to ask if he will serve as MC at banquet with subjects including what the region has been doing re: Street Survival School and etc. Sam has tickets for the raffle. Trophies will be given out at the trailer unless raining, in which case we can use the classroom. Sam asked for feedback on several course designs. It was decided registration and tech will close at 8:30 PM. Motion to adjourn by Justin H., second by Tim. Passed. Addendum: (via email) Sara Huffman can get better prices on sandwiches at Quiznos but needs an additional $50 for chips and drinks. Motion to allow $50 budget increase by Justin H., second by Matt.
