Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA Board of Directors of Nov. 10, 2015.  Members present: RE Tim Datema, Scott Woosley, Matt Longpine, Sam Henry, Bud Weeks, and Justin Huffman, plus 8 OMR members and guests.
 
Call to order: Tim.
 
Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Tim, second by Scott.  Passed.
 
Treasurer's report: Motion to accept report by Matt, second by Tim.  Passed.
 
Solo report: Curtis Wood towed the trailer back from Neosho and reported a number of problems with the trailer that need to be addressed.  He had to deal with two flat tires and that the stud for the spare tire was too long for the wrench to remove the nut.  Also he was concerned about the weight of the trailer since it is riding on the bump stops.  There was discussion about purchasing new tires vs putting in new stems.  Also, the hook-up for the trailer lights is too short and needs an extension.  There also needs a better way to deal with hiding the keys and the bearings probably need to be repacked.  Some things in the trailer that will be damaged by freezing need to be removed before winter.
 
Motion to purchase new spare tire for the trailer, and a cover for the spare, as well as new stems for the other trailer wheels by Tim, second by Justin.  Passed
 
There was discussion on what to do about porta-potties next year since there has been some disagreement with 4-State Vette Club about splitting the cost in 2015.  Also, there was discussion about needing to raise the entry fees.  It was decided to discuss when next season's events are closer at hand.
 
Scott brought up the idea of adding a historic class as an effort to stimulate greater participation.  Scott will think about how to structure it.

Banquet report:  Matt will call Elk's Lodge and look for open date for banquet near end of January.
 
BOD nominations:  Three BOD members will be carryovers: Matt Longpine, Scott Woosley, and Tim Datema.  Nominated to stand for election are Paul Smith, Justin Huffman, Sara Huffman, Sam Henry, and Forrest Tindall.
Motion to accept these nominees by Justin, second by Tim.  Passed. 
 
Midiv Covention: It will be in Topeka, KS, Jan. 29-31.  Justin may be able to attend.
 
Year-end awards:  Scott reports that the $500 allotted for trophies will probably not be enough.  It was discussed what kind of award to give to class champions this year.  It was decided by vote to give zip-up fleece jackets or hoodies with embroidered logo on them.  Other year-end awards will be discussed during the December BOD meeting.
