Minutes of the Ozark Mountain Region SCCA from Jan. 12, 2016.  Members present RE Tim Datema, Justin Huffman, Sam Henry, Matt Longpine, Bud Weeks, plus 8 other OMR members and guests.  Scott Woosley and Justin Andrews were not available.
 
Call to order: Tim.
 
Secretary's report: motion to waive the reading of the minutes by Tim, second by Justin.  Passed.
 
Treasurer's report: There will be bills coming for trophies and awards for the banquet also.
Motion to approve the report by Tim, second by Bud.  Passed.
 
Solo report: some supplies are needed including waivers, weekend memberships, minor waivers, and helmet stickers.  Also, two copies of the 2016 SCCA Solo Rules need to be ordered. 
 
The money owed to OMR by the Midwest Division SCCA for the Midiv events has still not been cleared up.  Rocky Entriken is now the Midiv treasurer.  Justin and Sara Huffman will pay the dues to the Midiv when they attend the Midiv convention.  They will be reimbursed for their lodging and registration as previously authorized.
 
Jeff Moore reports that all chapter paperwork such as the annual report is up to date.
 
Banquet report: Matt will check on menu items although what has been served in the past appeared to be OK with all BOD members.  Cost of the award jackets will be $783.  There was discussion regarding whether or not to offered SWAG to the attendees.
Motion to authorize $400 for SWAG for Sam to order by Sam, second by Matt.  Passed.
 
More banquet: Solo Rookie of the Year award is believed to be Josh Hollingsworth although Tim will check.  Crewmember of the Year will be Matt Longpine.  Matt will put together photos for the solo awards and Tim will bring projector and laptop.  Curtis Wood will say some words about Forrest Tindall and Bud will add some things. 
 
Discussion of the "Last of the Great Ones" Award, which was a trophy won by and donated by Forrest Tindall from the last roadrace run at Lake Garnett in 1971.
Motion to rename it the "Forrest Tindall Last of the Great Ones" Award by Bud, second by Sam.  Passed.
 
BOD election results:  the new BOD for 2016 will be Tim Datema, Sam Henry, Justin Huffman, Sara Huffman, Matt Longpine, Scott Woosley, and Paul Smith.
 
Motion to adjourn the 2015 BOD by Tim, second by Matt.  Passed.

Discussion of rallycross program.  Because attendance has been low it was discussed whether to abandon the rallycross program or to continue.  Consensus appeared to be to make it available to whomever may want to organize an event but to offer no schedule at this point.  A statement of this will be put on the OMR forum.
 
Discussion of whether to raise Solo entry fees and the effect on the OMR budget.  The various points of view concerned the desire to keep the treasury balance the same vs encouraging participation by those who are novices or who buy weekend memberships.  The consensus appeared to be to hold fees as they are and to reevaluate as needed.
 
Discussion of Evo School.  Consensus appeared to be that OMR can put on its own solo school.
 
Further banquet planning.  Sam will do club racing awards, Bud will do solo awards and Autocrosser of the Year,  Tim will do the JD Rice Award, and TC Pistole will do the Dave Pistole Sportsmanship Award.
