We knew him as a family man and dedicated racer. He was a member of Ozark Mountain Region since its founding in the early 1980s, and his expansive SCCA racing catalog dates back to the circuit of historic clubman tracks of 1950s California. Forrest was still competing in road racing, autocross, RallyCross, and RoadRally into his eighties. He enjoyed the rare luxury of being able to forget more about racing than most of us will ever learn, but remained completely humble and approachable.
Services have not yet been established as of this morning, but we will share when known.
Collectively we knew Forrest better than I can hope to recount, so take a moment to reflect on your favorite times with him. The region is collecting memories, stories, and pictures for the family if you can share.
