Re: schedule
I think regular intervals are the best way to get a good following. It will reduce a lot of the guessing game from people's schedules. An accurate calendar on the site is good, but making it so predictable that we really don't need one is.... gooder.Crazy_Dog wrote:Lets discuss schedule.

My two cents:
We should avoid scheduling on top of divisional and National Solo event dates within a reasonable drive. Scheduling early '08 local events is safe, but we might wait until the divisional and Tour schedule comes out for the nicer months.
I read KC and KS regions are angling for Tour/ProSolo (probably divisionals, too) and those would be good events that a lot of us would like to attend.
Also, summer events are worth some adjusting. The third weekend in July is suicidally hot, as is anything through about mid-August.
I guess the owners of the sites, be it Ducks or the fairgrounds, might have some say, too. Better to chime in first than last, though.

I too like a set schedule for the year 2nd or 3rd weekend. But that really depends on which works out to have more attendence. I personally perfer the 2nd weekend as most of the Corvette weekend evetss fall on the 3rd weekend. But again it's whats best for the club. Also most of the Kc events are on the 3rd weekend and it's fun to attend those events.
If we add events like Joplin or Ks., would it be possibe to have them be "extra" event or is that just to difficult to coordinate?
