Event Information Car Numbers and Classes
Car Numbers are exclusive for the 2011 season, meaning only one person is allowed to run a number during the entire year no matter what class you are in (e.g. Car number 76 Matt L in ST, you would not be able to use 76 even if you ran a different class). During pre-registration if a # is not shown when it is time to pick your car # then it is already in use this year.

Amenities
Numerous gas stations at Exit 4 just East of the site on I-44. Lunch TBD.

Directions from Springfield
Take I-44 to Exit 1, the last before the Oklahoma border. Go North into the roundabout and into the drive for Downstream Casino. Make the first right ("Self Parking / RV Parking") towards lot.

See you there!

Justin & I had a blast at the Corvette Club's AutoX @ Downstream last Sunday. Smaller lot, but grippy and was a fun course. Justin took FTD there on the lot, leaving me no luck for winnings at the casino! There's only so much luck for the Huff's in one day! :D

Here's the map of the site.

Basically, take I-44 until Exit 1 "Baxster Springs Kansas," the very last exit before you enter Oklahoma. It will dump you immediately into a roundabout - you know, like they have in Europe.

Take the entrance road into Downstream Casino, and make the first right, labeled "self parking / RV parking."

Anyway to remove me. There's a nasty noise coming from the front of the engine, so I'm out.

Strike that. Not sure what it was, but it's gone now. I'm going to try to be there.

I had a nasty noise in my car one time, so I told her to get out.

Any idea on how many people are attending this event? I have been thinking about driving down from KC and tried to look on Motorsportreg, but attend list has been disabled.

Any idea guys?

We have 37 entries registered. I believe you have to be logged into MotorsportReg to see the entry list for this event.

With walk-ups, our headcount will probably be into the 40s.

In all this talk about site changes I think it would be worth mentioning again that for this Sunday the OMR is holding a charity event for Joplin relief efforts. The SCCA National office is waiving sanction/insurance fees so that should free up a good amount to be donated. We were also given some prizes from the National office and there will be a raffle to raise even more funds.

If you Facebook then check out the OMR page where you can link to the Driven4Joplin page to see what local car clubs and racetracks are doing for the relief effort.

No one has pre-registered in STX but we allow walk-ups so we have no idea how many competitors there will be in that class. Hope to see you there.

Well that sucks that nobody is in for STX, however I will most likely be there in the morning.

Thanks to everyone who supported the event. By my calculation, we raised $925 for the Joplin relief effort, and sent home a lot of people with great raffle prizes from the SCCA and ConAgra.

This was only possible through the help of the SCCA national office, Downstream Casino, our volunteers, and friends with the 4-States Vette Club who did the groundwork in acquiring this venue.
