OMRSCCA Regional Solo2 Event #2
Sunday, May 16, 2010
Crowder Truck Driving School
Neosho, Missouri [Map]

Ozark Mountain Region SCCA invites you to join us on 375,000 square feet of smooth, unobstructed asphalt at the Crowder College Truck Driving School in Neosho, Missouri. 8)

Register Online!
[Click for online registration powered by MotorsportReg]
Note: 2010 events will use online registration via MotorsportReg. Additional registration instructions here.

Event Information Car Numbers and Classes
Car Numbers are exclusive for the 2010 season, meaning only one person is allowed to run a number during the entire year no matter what class you are in (e.g. Car number 76 Matt L in ST, you would not be able to use 76 even if you ran a different class).
Amenities
There are gas stations, Wal*Mart, and fast food on Highway 59 about a mile North of the intersection of MO-D. There is no air available at the site, so prepare accordingly. We anticipate making lunch available on-site.

Directions from Springfield
Take I-44 to US 71 South, and exit at Highway 60 Neosho/Seneca. Go East to the light at US 59/71B (Wal*Mart will be on your right). Turn right to go South on 59, and follow the signs for Crowder College and Highway MO-D. Turn left onto MO-D, and it will take you straight to Crowder College. Once you reach the stop sign at the entrance of Crowder, turn right onto Doniphan and head towards the windmill. Turn left just past the windmill, and follow the SCCA signs and cones to the site.

Run / Work
We had roughly 80 entrants at the previous March event at Crowder. We are watching pre-registration to determine the number of heats. We expect a sizable turnout, so prepare in case of a three-heat format based on a first-come, first-served basis:

Work heat 1 / Drive heat 3
Work heat 2 / Drive heat 1
Work heat 3 / Drive heat 2

Work assignments will be balanced to ensure even work coverage for all stations in all heats. If you show up at the last minute, your choice may be full. If you show up late, you will not be able to participate at all!

See you there!

I may *crosses fingers* be attending this event too. If so, it'll be like an early '00s auto-x reunion! :)

Signing up for the event, my choices for numbers [In order of preference] are #67, #78, and #87.

67 and 78 were reserved in the drop down box, 87 was the only one open. The list you linked in the first post says the only one open in the OMR is #67.

I'm going to be making my numbers this week so if I could get some clarification that would be great.

We hold a number for anyone who ran at least two events the previous year. This number list should be current per at least that particular norm.

http://www.omrscca.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=878

The conflict is that our canceled March 21 event entered some numbers in the 2010 MotorsportReg database that aren't listed on the above list. I'll touch base on getting that sorted and let you know what's open.

Thanks for looking into it, Jim. The guy in the 05 STi from Iowa was running #67 in SM, I didn't know if his number was reserved the entire season. That's probably why it was taken.

I made "67 SSM" already, that way I can use "97" or "79" if I can't get ahold of 67.

*edit* 68 and 79 are the only numbers available according to both the Motorsportsreg list and the OMR driver numbers list.

If I've taken #87 from somebody, I'll just run #79 on the 16th.

Reg'd

13 Street Touring Roadster... assumption is that would be correct for springs and shocks on a Miata with street tires...

The 2010 Camaro SS question is a good question. I was wondering the same thing. My brother is moving back soon and when he gets back he'll want to start doing SCCA and he owns one too.

F-Stock for the current-gen V-8 Camaro, GTO, G8, Mustang GT (incl. ShelbyGT), Challenger V-8 (incl. SRT8), and the V-6 Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

There's a really good argument for re-classing the 2011 Mustang V-6, 2010 and later Camaro V-6, and the Genesis V-6 into D-Stock (from G-Stock for the ponycars, and F-Stock for the Genesis), but nobody yet knows what will happen there.
